Service Hours: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday (24 hour emergency answering service)
Purpose: To help people prevent, prepare for, and recover from emergencies
Services Provided:
- Disaster relief for individual families and in major emergencies (immediate needs for food, clothing and shelter, plus other assistance depending on circumstances).
- Disaster prevention and preparedness education.
- Health and Safety Education Training in Health and Safety courses.
- Military Social Services (emergency communications, financial assistance through military resources, locator service, assistance with benefits, information and referral.
- Blood Collections
- Accept (consumer credit counseling and education)
- Community Services Activities for youth
- International tracing services
- Worksite training programs
- First-Aid stations for special events
- Emergency Language Bank
- Information and Referral Services
Eligibility: Harrison, Crawford and Floyd residents; services provided based on demonstrated need.
Fees: Tuition and materials fees (variable) charged on health and safety education courses (scholarships available based on need); small one-time-only fees charged on certain ACCEPT services; all other services free of any charge.
How to apply: Visit the office during office hours (call for an appointment if possible), or call. Services such as disaster relief and military communications are available 24 hours a day.
