Harrison County Community Services, Inc. provides many forms of crisis assistance to families and individuals in need.

Assistance provided can include, but is not limited to:

• Rent Payments
• Prescriptions
• Utility bills (gas, electric, sewer & water)
• Budget Counseling and case management are provided as needed. HCCS can only provide crisis assistance once every six(6) months.

Electric Assistance is provided in part by Duke's Helping Hands and REMC's Lend a Hand programs. Both programs are funded through donations by members and employees, and distributed through HCCS. Duke's Helping Hands program offers additional assistance to Duke members during the winter months through the LIHEAP program, while REMC's Lend a Hand program provides additional assistance throughout the year to REMC customers.
