The Jump Start Preschool Program is provided by the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF). Jump Start's mission is to increase the kindergarten readiness of Harrison County resident children.
A preschool environment will create an excitement for learning and assist your child with gaining the skills needed for a successful entrance into kindergarten the following year. Subsidized preschool is available to those who qualify. Your child must be:
- 3,4 or 5 years old, by August 1st of the current school year
- In financial need
Eligibility: Each child/family planning to use a private or faith-based provider must begin by enrolling at our office for income eligibility verification. Please be prepared to provide the following information required for enrollment:
- Proof of residency in Harrison County,
- Proof of income for the past 30 days (check stubs, wage inquiry, TANF, retirement statements, or benefit letters).
